AntiVirus Gateway
The new proprietary Gateway program
which is in it's final days of beta testing has been
installed on our system. This Gateway is an
optional component that any client with email services
through our system can elect to have switched on or off
by their domain names.
The program is designed to stop
the continuous barrage of spam (unsolicited
advertisements) and virus infected (dangerous
attachments) email to our systems.
 Since it is
estimated that nearly 85% of all email traffic on
the Internet is
spam it is important to keep our own systems free to
be able to process the real email messages in a
timely fashion..

Our program is following the guidelines of the
Can Spam Act which was passed by the Senate on
November 25, 2003, agreed to by the House of
Representatives on December 8, 2003, signed by the
President on December 16, 2003, and took effect on
January 1, 2004.
Our program is based on the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer
Protocol) guidelines; a set of formal rules for
transmit of data for email processing. There
is no white / black list type set up; email is
turned away that does not conform to the SMTP rules
of good practice email messaging.
