I tried what you said about embedding a song into the site and even with my cable its kinda choppy due to loading, so I really have no clue what I'm doing wrong :(! The song is embedded as a .wav format, and I also heard that I should try midi formatbut wanted to see what you thouught, or maybe I am doing something wrong lol. So if you think I should do midi can you tell me how to transform, mp3's or .wav's to midi.
Thanks alot, also just let me know as far as the other goes with the cost on the site :)!

Sound files are a bit tricky and there is no one thing that really works well.
You can use the basic insert a wav (usually large file) or midi (usually not very good quality) into the page and it will auto start when the page loads. The problem with that is that every time the page is loaded by your visitor, the exact same music starts over again.
The only way around this is to offer a third party music player like Crescendo that offers the site visitor the option of selecting the music or turning it on or off. The problem with this is that the visitor has to download a player (most people tend to get freaked out when they are prompted to download a file these days), not all browsers are friendly to it and some don't like it at all, meaning it doesn't work.
Another nice way to add music and sound effects is by using Macromedia Flash. You can embed the music (MP3 and wav) into a movie and there are also some pretty nice jukebox type graphic players that you can use (look at some of the free flash elements web sites). Unfortunately, Flash has a long learning curve as it is not the easiest program to work with. So it requires quite a bit of time to set up the movie and test it out on the web site let alone, learn how to just make a movie.
Also your visitor needs to have the Flash player downloaded and installed to see or hear your movie. This program is much more mainstream now and most people have it already. It is possible that Dream Weaver may have something in it that does this but that is another whole learning curve and limits you to an FTP type web site (not friendly with our FrontPage extensions or Windows ASP servers).
Finally, when all is said and done, most people can pick their own music without your web site playing something for them. Since almost all computers come with some type of CD player and the browsers now have radio stations, it would seem counter productive and maybe even annoying to force music on someone who may be listening to something else.
I, for this reason, personally do not like to add music to the web sites unless it is a "music" web site for a band or media type company.
TIP: Whenever you want to learn how to do anything in web hosting try using your browser search function. You will be amazed at all the free information that is posted all over the Internet, Free web sites on how to do almost everything in web hosting are the main way the majority of webmasters got their knowledge over a period of time. Also, forums like this one are available on most of the free sites that will have others who have asked the exact same questions and gotten answers that can help you get to the next step.
